In the Northwest, our typically mild fall temperatures – combined with our great love of nature – tend to extend our “outdoor living” experience into late September or even October.
In browsing through “freshome,” an online design and architecture magazine, I came across some outdoor trends that may give you some further ideas for outdoor decorating. I particularly like the bright-colored pillows on the bench in the first photo. But I also think the seating area closest to the bay window would be even cozier if the furniture sat on a round outdoor rug! Take a look. What do YOU think?
At the same time, the American Society of Landscape Architects has released the results of its 2014 trends survey and found that simple approaches are also popular across the country. We like dramatic and high-end, but these beautiful approaches to be elegant in their simplicty!
