Living on the Puget Sound since 1991, I’ve admired the transformation of this metropolitan region. And now, am no less amazed or proud to witness US Open 2015 in our background at Chambers Bay Tacoma. I mean, as a Puget Sounder, how can you not? For one, this is a public course. Two, the fans can see 13 holes from one spot. It is green friendly, has beautiful landscapes, and one can go down to the Puget Sound beach for a break with the biggest grandstand ever.
Not that I’m pro golfer or anything, but from a pure technical standpoint I'm sure some players will have a lot of fun, and then some frustrations, if they are used to playing USA courses where you just hit the ball and spin it around the flag with wedges. What fun to see the pros sweat more, especially with this amazing weather that we are enjoying right now.
So on behalf of Mafi International, welcome to all golf fans and the fans of US Open, especially to Puget Sounders.
